San Alberto Hurtado, SJ, fue un jesuita chileno que vio a Cristo escondido en los pobres, en los trabajadores invisibles y en quienes luchan por sobrevivir en los márgenes.
Inspirados por el fuego profético de este santo, te invitamos a ver dos reflexiones con el padre Rocco Danzi, SJ, que compartiremos el 7 y el 28 de marzo, y a dejar que el fuego de Cristo despierte en ti un Sentido Social que transforme tu vida y tu comunidad.
St. Alberto Hurtado, SJ, was a Chilean Jesuit who saw Christ hidden in the poor, in invisible workers, and in those struggling to survive on the margins.
Inspired by the prophetic fire of this saint, we invite you to watch two reflections with Fr. Rocco Danzi, SJ, which we will share on March 7 and March 28, and to let the fire of Christ awaken in you a Social Sense that transforms your life and your community.

Una primera reflexión: “Somos todos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo”, nos recuerda que Jesús se oculta en quienes la sociedad descarta: el jornalero, la trabajadora inmigrante, el obrero cansado y que la fe auténtica nos mueve a reconocer su dignidad y a actuar con justicia.

We Are All Brothers and Sisters in Christ
The first reflection, “We Are All Brothers and Sisters in Christ,” reminds us that Jesus hides in those whom society discards: the day laborer, the immigrant worker, the exhausted laborer. Authentic faith moves us to recognize their dignity and act with justice.

Un fuego que enciende otros fuegos
En La segunda: “Un fuego que enciende otros fuegos” nos invita a comprender que la Cuaresma no es solo sacrificio personal, es un despertar social. San Alberto nos llama a pasar de una fe de símbolos a una fe viva que transforma barrios, defiende derechos y enciende esperanza.

A Fire that Enkindles Other Fires
The second reflection, “A Fire that Enkindles Other Fires,” invites us to understand that Lent is not only about personal sacrifice; it is a social awakening. St. Alberto calls us to move from a faith of symbols to a living faith that transforms neighborhoods, defends rights, and sparks hope.
